Pulling it together...

Looking good always requires some amount of effort, but attempting to pull oneself together when you feel awful can sometimes feel like a monumental task. I've been pretty run down these past few weeks and it finally caught up with me two days ago. I spent the day either in bed sleeping or laying on the floor of our steam shower hoping my head and trying not to be sick. I felt miserable most of the day but I had to pull myself together for dinner.  Here's what I was able to muster together...

I didn't touch my hair. Kelly, over at Messy.Dirty.Hair. would appreciate this. My curly mess is the result of going in and out of the steamer multiple times and sleeping on wet hair. I literally did not even brush it. My leopard print scarf is half way between a scarf and a blankie. It's one of my travel essentials, I literally never leave the house without one in my flight bag. (My mom bought me three of them because I am so in love with them!)

I threw on a pair of my favorite jeans, I'm a True Religion addict, a soft black sweater and one of my favorite white vests lined with grey fur. I grabbed my go to sunnies and a pair of ballet flats and dashed out the door.  I managed to make it through dinner and crawled back into my bed. I get sick pretty often but I always try to pull myself together, one thing that I have discovered is that even when you feel awful a great pair of sunnies and lip gloss can go a long way!

    1. Hi Kelly,

Sorry it has taken me a bit to get back to you! You are going to die when you find out where my glasses are from - Target! I have a couple of pairs of Oliver Peoples aviators but in the last year or so these have become one of my favorite pairs :)

  2. So sorry you're not feeling good! So funny how a fun accessory and great lips can perk us up... and always hiding behind great sunglasses is a must when we feel ick!

    Get well soon!

I love and appreciate hearing from you!
